Daniel De La Garza understands the importance of defending the rights of the accused. He will use all available resources to ensure that his clients receive the best possible outcome for their cases. Daniel De La Garza attended The University of Texas at San Antonio where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating with a major in Political Science and a minor in Criminal Justice. Daniel De La Garza then went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in Houston.

Mr. De La Garza excelled in law school, serving as an Articles Editor for the Corporate Counsel Review where one of his articles was selected for publication. During law school, Daniel De La Garza completed an internship at the Harris County Public Defender’s Office. At the Public Defender’s Office, he gained valuable insight into the criminal defense process. He also completed a judicial internship with the Honorable Tracy Christopher at the Fourteenth Court of Appeals.

During his judicial internship, he assisted in researching and writing court opinions for criminal appeals. Daniel De La Garza was then offered a position as a law clerk at the prestigious criminal law firm of Bires Schaffer & DeBorde. He clerked for Bires Schaffer & DeBorde for one year before going on to open up his own law firm in San Antonio. While at Bires Schaffer & DeBorde he gained valuable experience assisting in the defense of clients in the state and federal court system. Mr. De La Garza also gained valuable experience in appellate litigation and post-conviction writ proceedings. Daniel De La Garza has the knowledge and experience to zealously defend your rights.
